Good Morning, I am eating breakfast, a bowl of bananas and strawberries. I will a piece of cheese to it, for protein.

My plans for today are to stay in and clean house. It is to cold for me!.

For Valentines evening we are going to a supper club in Ottawa.  Most years we stay home, but a group of us decided to go out instead. That are our plans for the weekend.

We seem to have a quiet life for a while after Christmas. I don't even go shopping much ( like Walmart), just tend to veg more.

I am exercising at least 5 days a week. That is a good thing.

Have a great day, At least the sun is shining, even if it is cold.

Hugs,

Lisa

Hello everyone

I tend to want to just hibernate January thru April.  I hate Winter.  I want to stay in and not feel the cold or drive in the snow...or deal with the snow in any way.  But I try to fight it and get out.  I mean this weekend we have Valentines and Church.  Last week we were running around both days.  Maybe next weekend I can stay in and do nothing!!!

I wonder what the difference is between a supper club and a nice restaurant because when we went to Galena we went to a supper club and it just looked like a nice restaurant to me.  So what determines a place to be a supper club???

I am still having my yummy greek yogurt for breakfast.  It is quite the yumminess.  For lunch I am having cottage cheese and some fruit and I have these cracker chips I will indulge in sometimes for lunch or snack, from Special K.  You get 30 chips for 110 calories.  It's a nice munchie snack.  Tomorrow I plan on being a little naughty...we have our Valentines party at work.  Lots of fun!!!

Well back to work.  Be glad your not one of the people that work outside.  I feel bad for construction guys.

Supper Clubs are named because they mostly serve only supper. Opening at around 3:30 in the bar and starting supper service at 5:00. Some have started opening at lunch to compete with other restaurants. Most of them are family owned and many times the family lives right on the premise. Most are on the edge of town or in rural areas. The upper mid west is where the majority of the supper clubs are located. One of the most served drinks at a supper club is a brandy old fashioned sweet, especially in WI. Most will serve a relish tray before the meal or will have a salad bar. Many are only open Tues-Sun. Many have a fabulous fish fry on Fridays and prime rib on Saturdays. There is a great 2011 documentary titled Wisconsin Supper Clubs-An Old Fashioned Experience. There are also a couple of books that write about and feature the WI clubs and another one of the clubs all over the mid west. One of the books wrote about Wally's House of Embers in the Dells and about their live entertainer, Billy Anderson. We just found out yesterday that he died at his home in IA. We were stunned. We would go to Wally's and other places in the Dells to hear him. He always called out Itasca, IL when he saw us come in. We are going to miss him.

Don't even know where to begin. Been so busy with work and home. Every time I turned around this week someone needed fingerprints. 6 sets and 2 people needed 2 cards a piece. I dislike taking prints on paper cards, people all try to help you "roll" their fingers. It has been get up for work, work and come home and do it all again. We are looking forward to a three day week-end. Going to the Chicago History Museum, RJ Grunts and then probably over to the zoo and conservatory before taking the train back home.

Bought a new 'puter yesterday. This one has been limping along. I cannot even use Internet Explorer on it - only Firefox. I can barely get into Outlook. It locks up on IE. The old 'puter will be good for storing photos (I do have 2 external drives as duplicate/back-up storage).

Off to store files and upload to the other drives. The new 'puter comes tomorrow. I paid extra to have it delivered in 2 days and it will be delivered to my work so no worries about theft. It was just slightly over $10 for the expedited delivery.

Hi everyone,

I see everyone is do okay/good in some way.

Today (02/12/2015) I had my follow-up with my joint replacement doctor. He checked out my right knee and right hip and asked questions about my right side and I gave him the answers, my doctor even had me lay on my left side to find out what my strength is and he told me that my muscles in my hip and lower back are weak and not moving the way that are supposed to. So my doctor wants me to see a neurologist for my hips and lower back/spine and try to find out what's going on. Also I think this neurologist is going to be my new Chiari doctor. So I made an appointment to see this doctor on March 11, 2015 at 12:00 p.m.. The doctor I was seeing for about my Chiari and had my Decompression Surgery with the doctor left the hospital for another one in another state. To bad he left the hospital back in December of 2014, I guess things happen for a reason. So...after I have my appointment on March 11, 2015 this new doctor that I'll be seeing and there's a good chance that this doctor will set-up an M.R.I. of some kind to find out what's going on with me, (hips/muscles/back/spine). I hope this is nothing to worry about let alone nothing major.

Have a great evening everyone.
